Hip-hop sensation Kendrick Lamar has announced that SZA will be joining him as a special guest for his highly anticipated Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show performance.

The news was revealed in a captivating teaser trailer released by Lamar. In the video, the 37-year-old rapper is seen on a football field, discussing the scale of the performance with an unseen individual. “You know, this field is a lot bigger than people think, so that’s a must,” he remarks.

The teaser takes a surprising turn when another person approaches, carrying a cooler filled with a mysterious blue liquid. This individual is then revealed to be none other than SZA, who proceeds to pour the blue liquid over Lamar’s head, leaving viewers intrigued and eager to see what this collaboration will entail.

Lamar and SZA have a history of successful collaborations, including their Oscar, Grammy, and Golden Globe-nominated song “All the Stars” from the “Black Panther” soundtrack. This dynamic duo is currently gearing up for a series of stadium shows across the US, starting in April.

Lamar was initially announced as the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show performer last September in a video message where he stated, “My name’s Kendrick Lamar and I’ll be performing at Super Bowl LIX. Will you be pulling up? I hope so. You know it’s only one opportunity to win a championship. No round twos.”

This won’t be Lamar’s first time gracing the Super Bowl stage. In 2022, he joined a legendary lineup featuring Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Eminem, and 50 Cent for an unforgettable performance.
